1972 - Louise, George's mother dies.
Summer, 1974 - George tours the United States, but is poorly received by critics and fans alike.I was at the Forum in Los Angeles for 2 of his shows and still have an unused ticket (the mate sold a few years ago for over $350.00). George was actually booed as the band left the stage after the first set. Billy Preston brought them back around and had the place rocking good, then George and his band came back out dressed in the hippie cowboy duds below and opened the second set with "LA, Your crazy, but we love you" a song I've not been able to find anywhere.
I was 5 rows behind the stage during the second show and came with 5 good doobies which I lit and tried to pass around, only a few people around me took my offer, the rest looked around sheeplishly, fearing security I suppose. George caught a whiff from the stage and turned around and smiled at the cloud of smoke around me. I was too young and dumb to bring a camera of course. During the first show I was filled with the spirit during a rousing "My Sweet Lord" and took to the asile dancing. A spot light found me and even from the nosebleed section I saw George turn around and play to me, dancing alone in the asile.
Ravi Shankars portion of the concert was transcendental for me, an experience I'll never forget. I got to see Ravi in Anchorage many years later and he still lifted my soul with his ragas. The crowd at the Forum applauded the Ravi shankar band after their tune up. I felt like I was lost in a sea of fools with only me and the band understanding how shallow their small lives were.

I went to an afternoon show and was not the only one causing smoke clouds to fill the theater. So much for no smoking in the theater, the ushers just stood in the back, helpless against the overwhelming will of the Beatle People.
1976
- George Harrison was sued for his song My Sweet Lord
for allegedly infringing the copyright on the song He's So Fine composed by Ronald Mack and performed by The Chiffons

January, 1977 - After five years of discord, George and Pattie are divorced. She then marries Eric Clapton who had long had a "crush" on her.June, 1977 - George meets Olivia Arrias, and the two begin living together.
1978 - Harold, George's father, dies.
August 1, 1978 - George and Olivia are the proud parents of a son whom they name Dhani.

1988 - George joins a new band, "The Travelling Wilburys," and their debut album is released to much critical acclaim.
January, 1994 -George is reunited with Paul and Ringo to work on two new Beatles' songs, "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love," and he becomes involved in the Anthology project.
November 29, 2001 - George dies of cancer in Los Angeles.
